Irvin Rodriguez was born in the Bronx, New York in 1988 and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a BFA in Illustration in 2010. His website describes his work:
His practice is centered on painting, primarily figurative work that is grounded in reality. Painterly brushwork and moments of abstraction are utilized to convey his subjects and ideas. The work serves as a vehicle to explore the figure, nature, art history, race and identity.
His paintings are sensual, lush, and full of movement. You can see more of his beautiful work on his website here.
