Etch A Sketch art
a post about the challenge of learning to design a website in Dreamweaver, and I wanted to insert a basic Etch A Sketch image to illustrate my novice design. Well, surprise on me, I discovered this whole amazing world of Etch A Sketch art. And it seems that there was a big hoopla over the summer when Etch A Sketch turned 50 years old, so this post basically recycles old news. But, if like me, you haven't seen this stuff, it's pretty amazing.
The Rembrandt of Etch-A-Sketch is a man named George Vlosich III who takes 60-80 hours for each sketch (if you can call them that), and happens to have amazing overall drawing and design talent and a thriving business with his talented brother.

This next artist, Noah Scalin, has a site Skulladay where he spent a year in 2008 making and posting a different skull image every day. His site has taken on a life of it's own with users sending in artwork. Who ever imagined an Etch A Sketch skull drawing?
